Color Theory Self-portraits progress

5th grades last assignment for the year. 

It uses so much of what they have learned this year. Color, pattern, line drawing, value, texture, and more.

First, students drew  themselves using mirrors. no photos allowed! 

  

Next, students drew lines to divide their papers and chose a color scheme. For example, warm and cool or primary and secondary. The first sections are done in colored pencil. Students can add patterns for extra pizzazz. Next, they will do the second scheme with watercolor.
